This year I am delighted to invite you to celebrate Parents Anonymous® of New Jersey’s 25th Anniversary of serving families throughout the state.

Our mission is to end child abuse by providing free, non-stigmatizing, community based help for families. Child by child, parent by parent, family by family, with your support, we can stop the cycle of abuse. Parents Anonymous® is the ONLY organization in the state that provides free, community based groups with no waiting lists. Parents Anonymous is the only organization in the state that operates a volunteer based toll free 24-hour Stressline, 1-800-THE-KIDS.

Today there is no more important cause than the welfare of our children. As we are all aware, New Jersey’s child welfare system is struggling. They cannot do it alone. Every one of us must step forward and say, “Child Abuse must stop!” You CAN help! Stop right now and mail in your contribution or donate on-line. We can all contribute in a meaningful way.

  • Develop and support 10 new Parent Support Groups.
  • Train parents, professionals and volunteers all over New Jersey in child abuse prevention services.
  • Provide free childcare to every Parents Anonymous Group that needs it.
  • Recognize over 100 volunteers who donate thousands of hours statewide helping parents break the cycle of abuse.

Parents Anonymous never charges a fee for any services to parents. From weekly groups to annual conferences, all members attend for free. We are able to do this because group facilitators and Stressline workers are volunteers. Even so, trainings, printing, administration, rents, postage, etc. all have a cost associated with them. Parents Anonymous has been found to be one of the most cost effective programs in the field of child abuse and neglect prevention.

The generosity of our donors makes a huge difference in what we are able to offer our parent members, volunteers, and the community at large in preventing child abuse and neglect.
